Courtney and Luke are one of my sweet military couples who are currently stationed in Washington, but have ties to the Texas Hill Country. They had their wedding last Fall at Lazy Hills Retreat & Conference Center in Ingram, Texas on Tranquility Island and their reception under the pavilion. Courtney chose sunflowers and splashes of blue as her theme with a nautical twist. Luke is in the Navy and it was only fitting he wear a bow-tie with anchors.
They did something a little extra special before the wedding and had a “first look” where Luke had a bandana tied around his eyes while Courtney walked up and surprised him with a kiss. We got SO MANY great photos that we wouldn’t have had time for after the wedding! I can’t even tell you how much I LOVE first looks. LOVE.
For their reception they ate a southern dinner (barbecue!) and danced the night away. There was even a cigar roller (how cool, right?!) who rolled cigars for their guests, and of course, I had to sneak some ring shots incorporating that ;)
Congratulations, Luke and Courtney! It was an honor capturing one of the best days of your lives.
Prepare for sweetness. I loved Courtney and Luke’s first look! And we were able to bounce around Lazy Hills in a golf cart taking tons of cute photos.
This is my favorite post-wed photo ever!
A special thanks to my trusty second shooter Leah for hanging with us and making sure I didn’t fall out of the golf cart on our “first look” adventures(not pictured). HAHA!
